The 2023 Fischer Transalp TS is lightweight yet robust alpine touring boot with the potential for serious downhill performance. While most touring gear asks consumers to make a compromise between ease of ascent and stability on the descent, the Fischer Transalp TS does its best to make none such compromise.
In terms of the Fischer touring boot lineup, the Transalp fills the gap between the hard charging freeride touring boot that is the Ranger Free and the super lightweight, mountaineering oriented Travers. The Transalp can easily fill in for either of those boots but it also acts as a harder charging version of the Travers and a much lighter, more uphill friendly version of the Ranger Free.
The Transalp has a simple and sleek design with two buckles (one of them a Z buckle over the foot) that can both be adjusted with just one hand, a wide power strap and a flip lever for walk/ski mode. The boot also features a waterproof half-gaiter that stops below the ankle, providing extra warmth and preventing moisture from getting to the liner. On the sole, the Transalp has Dynafit certified tech fittings and rubber sole that's compatible with crossover bindings such as the Shift and Duke PT or even AT compatible Alpine bindings such as the Tyrolia Attack 14 AT.
If you’re looking for a versatile, ‘do everything’ alpine touring boot that's as good on the uphill as it is going down, check out this Fischer Transalp TS.
